Tips for Washing Your Pet
Choose "Home Page" from the menu above for the Shampette(R) Pet Washing System.
Before bathing, thoroughly brush your pet's coat to remove dirt, dandruff and dead hair.
Remove mats before shampooing.Always use a shampoo that is formulated for pets. Pet skin and hair are more alkaline than ours and need the special formulation of pet shampoos.
Put shampoo into the shampoo dispenser on the Shampette(R).
If you are using a tub, do not close the drain. Otherwise, your pet will be standing in dirty water.
Insert a cotton ball in each ear (your pet's ears, not yours).Massage your pet with the Shampette brush head.
Start your water and be sure the water temperature is not too hot.
Slowly wet hair with the dial turned to MIN, starting at the head.
Turn dial to ADDITIVE to mix shampoo into water.
Start massaging pet with the Shampette Massage lathering from head and continuing over whole body.Create even more lather by continously turning the dial back to MIN and then returning to ADDITIVE.
Turn dial to MIN and rinse pet thoroughly in a circular motion.
Pets like to try and shake themselves dry. You can lessen this somewhat if you maintain a physical contact with them all the time.
To dry your pet, blot dry with a towel. Try not to rub as rubbing produces tangles.
Animal dryers are recommended rather than a home hair dryer.
If you do use a home hair dryer, be VERY careful. These dryers can produce a very forceful blast of very hot air.
